Our simple panel system delivers passive house standard from $3,800 per square metre, ensuring a healthy home is an affordable option for every new build in Aotearoa.
Using a panel system allows us to compete on price with other builders or developers who design to the minimum building standards, without having to compromise on design flexibility or your health.
Clients can choose from one of our six standard designs or work with our designers or an architect to create a custom design.
Building with our panels
We use a library of 16 panels to design our homes, which allows for considerable design flexibility.
Each panel is built and stored in the panel library at our factory. The panel library ensures we are ready to go once a design comes in, delivering significant cost savings for building the external walls of a home.
The collection of panels gets delivered to site in one go, along with all the high performance windows and doors.
This single delivery and LEGO brick-style panel assembly means the house can be water-tight within days of the materials arriving on site, significantly speeding up the build process and reducing costs.
Materials and assembly
The products and processes we use are designed to lighten our impact on the natural world and honour our commitment to Papatūānuku.
We’ve purposefully engineered our panels to be low waste and low in embodied carbon and emissions.
The panels are made out of timber and recycled wood materials, insulated using recycled glass wool, and lined with plywood, which can either be stained, painted or plastered to get the desired look and feel for interior spaces.
Panel assembly can be done by any builder, either yours or ours, and electrical, plumbing and other trades can be done without the need for specialist tools or experience.
The result is a home that exceeds the World Health Organisation’s definition of a healthy home, delivers exceptional energy efficiency and is capable of being PassivHaus certified, all for a starting price of $3800 per square metre.
